for private companies, we have caritas shield, philam maxicare and a lot that went bankrupt
Hospitals, Doctors, and specialists are readily available throughout The Philippines. I've used several. Costs are reasonable on a pay-as-you-go basis. If someone were to introduce insurance/managed care into the equation it would probably put the costs way out of reach for a lot of people who need the care more than they need the insurance. It's not broke, don't try to fix it.
